Chapter Four
“What do you suggest I do, Swinla? I mean, I thought I could enjoy the rest of my vacation by avoiding the three of them, but now I know that’ll be impossible. It seems like everywhere I turn, they’re dogging my footstep. The scary thing is, after what happened last night, I’m not really sure I want them to leave me alone. I had this idea in my head that I can do without them. My head says stay away, but my heart and body won’t allow me to forget how much they once meant to me.”
Swinla took a sip of her beverage and placed it back down. She rested her chin on her palms as though pondering the dilemma, her blue face crinkled in concentration. “Well, the way I see it, you’re not completely over them. I’ve seen the way you look whenever they come into view. Remember when that gorgeous redhead was hitting on them earlier today? I could practically hear you grinding your teeth together. You wanted to rip her hair out, didn’t you?”
Shelby’s eyes narrowed as she remembered the skank running her hands along their bare chests on the beach as if it were her right to do. She’d wanted to do more than rip that bitch’s hair out; she’d wanted to maim her. The raging jealousy she’d felt didn’t make sense, especially when she’d vowed she’d have nothing to do with them. If anything, she should have been pissed that they’d taken advantage of her in her weakened state, but it had only made her want them more. Why was she fighting the inevitable? Before they left the island, they’d end up fucking again. “I wanted to kill that bitch. You’re right, Swinla. I’m not completely over them, but I have to break away or they’ll only end up hurting me again.”
“Or maybe they won’t. They don’t seem like the type of men who’d make the same mistake twice. Why not give them a chance? At least sleep with them and by the time your stay is over, you can decide what you want.”
“You must have read my mind, about the sleeping with them part, but I’m not sure if I’m willing to move beyond that. When they turned their backs on me, you can’t know the desolation I felt.”
Swinla raised one dark brow. “Yes, I do. At least you know your mates loved you and still do. Sure, they made a foolish mistake but they did care. I’ve been waiting for the same man for years, and when he finally did decide to take me in marriage, it was only out of duty. That’s true desolation; loving someone so deeply you think the sun rises and sets on them, but they only see you as a responsibility to uphold. Pardon me if I’m not shedding tears for you, Shelby.”
In her preoccupation with her own problems, Shelby had forgotten her new friend’s pain. Reaching across the table, she took Swinla’s hand in hers. “I’m sorry. That was a pretty self-absorbed thing of me to say. I guess I’ve been so wrapped up in my own issues that I didn’t think about what you’re going through. Forgive me?”
A slow smile crossed the wood nymph’s face. “Of course. Besides, if it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t be having as much fun on this island. I thought I’d be bored, but instead I have a friend and a human one at that. I’d never met a human before I came to Chimera. You’re not what I expected.”
“What exactly did you expect?”
Swinla shrugged. “I don’t know. I’ve always had the impression that humans were arrogant creatures who only care about their own comforts.”
“We’re not all like that, but a lot of people are, unfortunately, and I have to say that humans aren’t the only race of people who can be accused of this. Your Morel sounds like a man who doesn’t particularly care about other people either.”
Swinla flushed. For a moment Shelby thought she said something she shouldn’t have but the blue woman spoke again. “He’s not totally without faults, but he’s basically a good man. From an early age he’s been conditioned to take over the leadership of our people and he takes his duties very seriously. Too seriously sometimes, I think, but you should see how he is with the little ones. He always makes time to play with them and tell them stories. He’s good with the elders as well. Morel has a good heart. I only wish it were big enough to include me,” Swinla said with a sigh of longing so deep that Shelby could feel her friend’s pain.
“In that case, would it be so terrible to marry him? Maybe the love will follow,” Shelby suggested.
“I thought about that, but my pride won’t allow it. I want him to be in love with me now. I know it’s probably silly of me to want that, especially as we’re both of high rank among our people. Nymphs of our status aren’t always lucky enough to marry for love, but my Mama and Papa did and they’re still happy to this day. I want that too. I’ve loved Morel for longer than I can remember, but I won’t settle for anything less than his heart. Not to sound conceited or anything, but I believe I’m worthy of love and if I can’t have it from Morel, I don’t want him.”
“I don’t think that sounds conceited at all, but what about finding love with someone else?”
Swinla smiled humorlessly. “That’s easier said than done. I’d be more than happy to find someone else if my foolish heart would allow it. I’ve met several attractive men on this island, but none make my heart beat fast like Morel does. Whenever he’s near, I feel him. It’s almost like he’s the other half of me. Sometimes love is funny like that.”
“I guess it is. Even though he’s hurt you, you still love him.”
“Just as you still love your three Manani mates.” Swinla held up her hand when Shelby would have protested. “There’s no need to deny it because it’s very obvious to me. You have the opportunity to be with the men you love on your own terms. Why not seize it?”
“Because… because…” What could she say that she hadn’t already thought hundreds of times?
Swinla nodded in apparent understanding. “You don’t have to say it. I know you’re afraid of being hurt by them again. The way I see things, those three men will probably be more careful this time around. I don’t see why you can’t have a little payback in the process of deciding whether you’ll take them back permanently.”
“What do you suggest I do?”
A devilish smile spread across the nymph’s face. “You’ll make them crawl.”
Shelby liked the sound of this. “Hmm, this sounds promising. Tell me more.”
* * *
Tegor, Rain, Geho: Please meet me at the Grilled Banana, three o’clock sharp. I’ll have a table ready for us. Don’t keep me waiting. Shelby.
Tegor stared at the note again.
Rain rolled his eyes. “You’ve read that missive a hundred times already. I don’t think the words will change.”
Tegor frowned. “I don’t need you to point out how many times I’ve read this note. I just… I don’t know. I’m happy that she wants to meet with us, but my gut tells me there’s something to this note.”
“Perhaps after last night she’s decided she wants to be our mate again in every sense of the word,” Rain mused, always the optimist.
Geho shook his head. “I don’t know. I believe Tegor may be on to something. Last night, I’ll admit, was amazing, but I don’t think it’s enough to change her mind about us. Knowing Shelby, she definitely has something up her sleeve.”
Rain snorted. “Well, can we argue about this later? We’re supposed to be meeting her shortly, and if we’re not there on time she may just leave.”
Tegor hid his smile. Rain was just as worried as he and Geho. His friend was in denial, and he couldn’t exactly blame him. When the note had been delivered to their bungalow earlier and he’d seen who it was from, Tegor’s heart raced. Finally, Shelby was coming around. Then he thought about some of the things she’d said the night before. She was afraid of being hurt by them again, which was understandable. So why the sudden about face?
Yes, he’d hoped that she’d eventually change her mind about them, but Tegor hadn’t expected it to happen this suddenly. Something was definitely up. When they arrived at the Grilled Banana, he took a deep breath before following his friends into the restaurant.
When he saw her sitting at a table in a yellow sundress, his breat
h caught in his throat. She was so lovely. Shelby wore her hair loose. It flowed around her shoulders like golden sunshine. He couldn’t move. Apparently Rain and Geho felt exactly the same way as he did because they also paused. She stood up with a light smile on her crimson painted lips.
“Are you guys just going to stand there staring or will you join me?” she asked.
That set them into action. They all rushed to the table, nearly stumbling over their feet to join her. “We got your note,” Tegor said when he sat down. Immediately he cursed himself. Surely he could have said something more intelligent than that. Obviously they’d received her note or they wouldn’t be there.
“I see,” she said simply. “Thanks for joining me and on time too. Would you like to order something to drink? I believe the specialty here is the Drunken Barmaid. It’s really fruity so you can barely taste the alcohol.”
Geho frowned. “How many of those have you had so far?”
Shelby raised one dark blonde brow. “Afraid I’ll get drunk like I did last night? Don’t worry about it. It’s only my first one. I don’t plan on having a repeat performance.”
Geho nodded, visibly relaxing. A silence descended upon them, all three men waiting for Shelby to speak. She took a long sip of her drink. A look of amusement twinkled in her eyes. It was almost as if she were prolonging their torture on purpose. “Again, I thank you guys for answering my note,” she began.
“How could we not?” Rain asked, squirming in his seat. He looked as on edge as Tegor felt.
“What I wanted to tell you three… it will be difficult to get over what you did, and I’m not even sure if I can, but I’d like to spend the rest of my time on the island with you to find out.”
Tegor felt like jumping for joy at her announcement, but there was something in the way she’d said it that made him pause. “Only the rest of your time on Chimera? Are you saying you don’t plan on coming back to Laiocean with us?” he asked cautiously.
She shook her golden head. “No. I mean, I don’t know. That’s why I’m agreeing to spend the rest of my time with you on the island to find out if I can trust the three of you again. You already know how I feel about what happened so there’s really no point in dragging that out again, but I’ve given this all a lot of thought and, to be honest, I just can’t turn off my feelings with the snap of my fingers.” She released a nervous sounding giggle before taking another gulp of her drink.
“Believe me, if I could, I would have a long time ago. Eventually I could have gotten over the three of you had I never seen you again, but I guess I’ll never know for sure. I would like to spend time with each of you, but I have three conditions.”
Tegor tensed and noticed the looks of apprehension on his friends’ faces. “What conditions?” Geho asked tightly.
She paused, flipping a stray lock of silky hair over her shoulder. “First, I want one night of complete control. You will do everything on my say so. You’ll be my sex slaves for one night, take directions from me alone, touching, licking and fucking me anyway, anywhere, and anyhow I like. If I tell you to jump, I want you to ask how high. If I want you to kiss my feet, you’d better act like it’s an honor to do it. I want you three to be completely helpless to my will.” She stopped then as though to gauge their expressions.
She asked a lot. Tegor, Rain and Geho could barely contain themselves when Shelby was near. Even now, he had a difficult time not being able to reach over and grab her. His body tightened with awareness and his cock stirred. Last night was not enough.
He wanted some of that sweet pussy and ass, but could he allow her complete control in the bedroom when she’d allowed them to do whatever they wanted to her before? He had no issue with letting Shelby have her way in this, but how far would she take it? Would she tease them to the point where they physically hurt for release and then not allow them to touch her?
Tegor clenched and unclenched his jaw as he stared at her across the table. Shelby’s face was impassive, but he could feel the tension within her body from where she sat. She was nervous.
I say we give in. I’d walk through fire to be with her again, Rain’s voice penetrated his mind.
I agree. Last night made me realize there’s nothing I won’t do to win her back, Geho agreed.
Tegor nodded. So be it. I only hope that this brings us closer to our goal. His eyes locked with Shelby’s once more. “We agree. What else must we do? You said three things.”
She wagged one slender manicured finger at him. “You have to complete the first task before I tell you what I want from you next.”
“So when do we begin?” Rain asked.
“Tonight. I want you to come to my room wearing nothing but a smile.”
Chapter Five
Shelby paced the floor nervously, waiting for her men to arrive. She couldn’t believe her audacity in throwing that challenge at them, but it needed to be done. Asking them to give her complete control in the bedroom was more than just a sex thing. It was a way of figuring out if they could trust her. Without that key part of the relationship, they had no chance of making things better.
She’d gone through a lot of trouble to make sure the mood was just right. The room was bathed in nothing but candlelight, soft music played, and a bottle of wine stood on the table -- with one glass. She intended to have some fun tonight.
Of course the idea of commanding three lusty males at once sent shivers down her spine. Her pussy tingled with need. Tonight she’d have all three cocks within her, stroking and fucking her until she had her fill. She walked over to the full-length mirror and studied her appearance. The negligee she wore left very little to the imagination with its flimsy satin material. The ruffled bottom rested mid-thigh, and the front scooped into a vee almost to her belly button.
Shelby had to admit that she looked pretty damn good. When she was through with them, they’d be panting for her. Just then a thundering knock on her door splintered through the silence. They were there, right on time.
Her heart sped up as she walked to the door. Taking one deep breath, she opened it, and nearly fainted at the sight. They all stood on the other side of the threshold, wearing nothing but the smiles she’d requested. Her eyes drifted down, looking at half erect cocks that slowly hardened as the three men took in her get up. She pushed her shoulders back knowing it made her breasts look bigger.
She tried to project a calm she didn’t feel. “Well, hello, boys. It’s good of you to show up. Come on in.” Shelby stood back, allowing them entrance. They each carried a bundle of exotic flowers, but she couldn’t take her eyes off of their bodies. Her mouth watered as she thought of all the things she planned on doing to them. As they entered her bungalow, she watched their tight butts move, tails swishing back and forth.
“You didn’t have to bring me flowers,” she said, taking their offerings.
“We didn’t have to, but we wanted to. You deserve the world, Shelby. This is only a small token of our esteem,” Geho said, a smile on his rugged face.
“Wait here while I put these in water, and when I get back, the entertainment can begin.” Shelby walked into the small kitchen and located a vase. God, she was hot just looking at them. How would she be able to maintain her cool and keep the upper hand? Seeing their taut bodies with corded muscles and without an ounce of fat on any of them was enough to send her body into lust overload.
You can do this, Shelby. Show them who has the upper hand and play it smooth. Throwing her shoulders back and taking a deep breath, she changed the radio to smooth jazz and grabbed the bottle of wine before walking to the couch and taking a seat. Even though she might have looked casual to the three anxious men, Shelby was shaking on the inside. She poured herself a glass of wine, took a sip, and then sat back. “Ah, that was nice.”
“You look beautiful, Shelby,” Tegor said quietly.
“This old thing?” She slid one manicured nail down the side of her breast, enjoying the flare of desire that sparked in her lovers’ eyes. “That
’s sweet of you, but remember, this is my night and you’ll speak only when you’re spoken to.”
Shelby took another sip of wine as she watched the shock register on their faces. She wondered how far she could go with them before they threw up their hands and left. “Do I make myself clear?”
“Yes,” they answered in unison.
A smile tugged at the corners of her lips. “Good, I’m glad we understand each other. You all have such beautiful bodies… and gorgeous cocks. Stroke them.” Licking her lips in anticipation, her eyes widened as they each grasped their shafts and slowly slid their fists along the lengths.
Oh dear Lord, I’m going to have a heart attack. Shelby couldn’t remember a time when she’d witnessed anything more erotic than three hunky men masturbating for her pleasure. She wanted to touch, taste, and fuck each one of them.
All three cocks grew firm and erect, each deliciously thick and long. Their gazes never left her face, each man’s breathing becoming ragged. God, she wanted them. Needed them. Craved them. But she couldn’t make her move just yet.
She slipped a thin strap of her gown off her shoulder to reveal one pert breast. Shelby smiled as she watched them squirm in their obvious discomfort. Dipping two fingers in her glass of wine, she swirled the liquid round before sucking them into her mouth. She slid them in and out, mimicking the motion of her mouth on a thick cock.
The three men gasped in unison, sweat popping from their foreheads. She knew they desperately wanted to touch her, but they didn’t. Their control impressed her. In any of their former sexual encounters, they would have grabbed her by now and showed her their mastery. Wanting then to tease them some more, she drenched her fingers with wine once more, but this time she circled her exposed nipple with them. “Do you like what you see?” A smug feeling swam through her body.
